Spiritual Hunger And Thirst

Do we have that kind of hunger and thirst? We do have physical hunger and thirst that should not be neglected but if those occupy 100% of our time, energy and efforts, we are not wise or practical because those hungers only meet temporal (temporary) needs. Spiritual hunger and thirst are more important because they are about eternal needs. If you have no spiritual hunger and thirst you need changed priorities and you need to taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalms 34:8.

Matthew 4:4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 5:6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Job 23:12: Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

John 4:14: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Psalms 42:2: My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 143:6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

1 Peter 2:2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Isaiah 55:1: Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

John 4:32: But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

John 6:32: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

John 7:37: In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Revelation 22:17: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
